Diet for Lactating Women

After giving birth the woman’s body continues with some hormone-like changes and this is due to milk production. The woman, at this stage as it did during pregnancy, should pay special attention to their health and this relates directly to your diet.

For mothers who are breastfeeding at this stage is designed the following diet:

Day 1
• Breakfast
1 cup coffee
1 slice of bread flavored with one teaspoon olive oil
1 glass of freshly squeezed orange juice
• Mid-morning
1 slice prosciutto small
1 serving small cheese
• Food
1 serving of lentils stewed with carrot
1 serving of roast chicken with 1 tomato
1 serving of strawberries served with milk
• Snack
1 slice of cheese with a teaspoon of honey
• Dinner
1 serving of raw vegetables or steamed
1 serving of baked hake with 1 baked potato
1 Pera

Day 2
• Breakfast
1 glass of fresh milk accompanied by grain
1 Fruit of choice
• Mid-morning
1 yogurt with honey
• Food
1 serving of rice with a fried egg and tomato
1 serving of salad with lettuce, tomato, asparagus and sweet corn
Yogurt 1
• Snack
Fruit choice
• Dinner
1 portion of grilled salmon
1 serving of breaded zucchini
1 cup milk

Day 3
• Breakfast
1 cup coffee
Mary type 6 Cookies
1 glass of fruit juice
• Mid-morning
1 Coffee with milk
• Food
1 portion of potatoes cooked with meat
1 serving of lettuce with cheese and anchovies
1 yoghurt with honey
• Snack
1 slice prosciutto small
1 tomato natural
• Dinner
1 serving of spinach with boiled potatoes and raisins
1 portion of scrambled eggs with garlic and seafood
1 serving of peaches in syrup

Day 4
• Breakfast
1 cup coffee
1 slice of toast with a teaspoon of olive oil
1 kiwi
• Mid-morning
1 Yogurt with honey
• Food
1 plate of vegetable soup
1 Fruit
• Snack
1 cup coffee
4 cookies of the type Mary
• Dinner
1 slice of ham and peas
1 serving of fish in green sauce
1 Fruit

Day 5
• Breakfast
1 Yogurt with cereal
1 Fruit
• Mid Morning
1 cup coffee
1 slice fresh bread integral
• Food
1 portion of lasagne with tuna and tomato
1 serving of salad with mushrooms, lettuce and ham
1 small Flan
• Snack
Mixed fruits with yogurt
• Dinner
1 portion of chicken nugets
1 serving of steamed carrots
1 serving of vegetable soup
1 Fruit

Day 6
• Breakfast
1 cup coffee
1 slice of cake
1 Fruit
• Mid Morning
1 slice of bread with a slice of tomato and olive
• Food
1 serving of tenderloin filet with cheese
1 slice ham braised cauliflower
1 yoghurt with honey
• Snack
1 cup coffee
4 crackers
• Dinner
1 serving of salad, apple, kiwi and nuts
1 portion of potato omelette
1 glass of milk

Day 7
• Breakfast
1 cup coffee
2 slices
1 glass of freshly squeezed orange juice
• Mid-morning
1 Refreshment
1 handful of nuts
• Food
1 serving of mixed salad
1 serving of paella
Mouse yogurt with honey
• Snack
1 serving of strawberries with orange juice
• Dinner
1 portion of trout with prosciutto
1 serving of beans with potatoes
1 Yogurt with honey
