Meditation and Relaxtation

He has shown that the relaxation and meditation produce physiological changes in their routine. There is plenty of evidence showing decreased breathing, reduces oxygen consumption and metabolic rate better.

There are many relaxation and meditation techniques that can take advantage and get all the benefits for our bodies. Special to combat stress, which is known to accelerate aging and disease risk.

You must choose a place as quiet as possible and free from interruptions or distractions, it is best to do well in the morning, when everyone was still asleep and not yet started human activity day, which can be very noisy.

Monitoring the Health Development of the Fetus in Pregnant Women With a Way to Detect Fetal Heart Rate

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Fetal heart detector  using Doppler ultrasonic sensors commonly used in the medical field today. This tool is very helpful in monitoring the health development of the fetus in pregnant women with a way to detect fetal heart rate during a certain time interval. The rate of fetal heart rate has standards that have been agreed to, doctors (medical officers) can analyze the health of the fetus and also the actions that must be taken before childbirth.
Fetal heart rate calculation tool has been widely available in the market with a variety of brands. But unfortunately this is still a valuable tool also still too high and simple (only showing fetal heart rate only) is equipped with a system without a database. For the current computerized system already being used in health institutions like hospitals and places of other health services. Therefore needed a system that can integrate with each other to provide better services
In this final project has created software for the measurement of fetal heart rate. For signal detection (sensor), heart rate, used ultrasonic doppler probes 2.5 MHZ BL-500B. Then the signal is used to strengthen a small signal amplifier variable 1-10 times. Signal at the input to the computer through the microphone on the soundcard for digital signal processing. Signal processing consisted of a viewer program signal, windowing FIR digital filter 9-39 Hz bandpass filter with transition band 4 Hz. To calculate the BPM (Beat Per Minutes) was collected by using an average of BPM signal voltage and diagnosed according to a predefined standard.
The first goal of this tool will facilitate in providing more information to the physician (medical officer) in analyzing the health of pregnant women and fetuses. Also with this tool can be used at home by using an existing computer without having to frequently go to the doctor to monitor the condition of the fetus.

Mouse Can Also Send the User’s Health Information

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

Currently almost every part of our work using computer operations. For these people, this mouse may be useful, because they can pay attention to their health while working.

Life’s Click is a mouse designed by Chiu Chi Tat & Tsoi Man Hey who has a heart rate indicator. When the user holding the mouse, your thumb and palm will touch sensors in the mouse and the sensor will begin to detect the user health. This mouse also features a LCD which can inform the user’s heartbeat and other health information.

For those who wish to obtain special treatment or special monitoring of their health, this mouse can also send the user’s health information to hospital or to a specific phone number via a PC network. This mouse can also remind users how long they have worked, so that workers can take a break to recover stamina after a long tired working at the computer.

But we still have to be patient to get to try it, because this mouse has not been marketed and will be circulated for some time to come.

All Drug Classes that Include Pain rRlievers

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Maybe you have long been familiar with mefenamic acid, ibuprofen, diclofenac or aspirin (there are many more kinds of other things). All drug classes that include pain relievers or more popular known as analgesics. Pain is the body’s response to an “irregularity” in our bodies, whether they are normal (physiological) or abnormal (pathological), in other words the pain can be regarded as “ALARM” of our body that something is “wrong” in the our bodies. As technological developments, have now known some “triggers” the emergence of pain. A process of inflammation, whether due to infection or trauma are considered as conditions that may cause pain. A number of chemical substances in the process of inflammation is a strong role in the process of pain. Prostaglandins, is one of the most popular pain mediators. This substance stimulates pain receptors and stimulate nerve endings and then through a number of processes delivered to the brain until then the perception of pain occurs. All analgesics are classified in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (analgesic of this type most widely circulated in the community) work by inhibiting prostaglandin production in a series of inflammatory processes (inflammation), so with no formation of prostaglandins it will not happen on the stimulation of pain receptors on the tips of nerve endings that will culminate in the disappearance of pain. But this is not entirely favorable conditions for our bodies, because Prostaglandins are also required for normal processes in the body such as blood clotting process and the process of our digestive tract system maintenance. Please note that our digestive tract is one organ that potentially cause major problems for ourselves. You can imagine how our stomachs able to “survive” against a very strong stomach acid? Gastric acid has a degree of acidity (pH) to range from 0.7 to 3.8 that is able to make the metal damaged by the corrosive nature of the acid ..!

The Best Wheelchair

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Spanish scientists managed to create a wheelchair that can be controlled through the mind. Wheelchair users, especially persons with disabilities only have to think where they want to go, then the wheelchair will move and walk without having to use a conventional joystick.

Wheelchair that can be utilized by the disabled or people with stroke, made Dr. Javier Minguez, from the University of Zaragoza. He uses laser scanners to create three-dimensional image showing the area around where the wheelchair is located.

Such images will then appear on the screen in front of wheelchair users. The users only need to concentrate on the space or the places they’ll go according to that displayed on the screen and wheel chairs will respond and move according to user desires.

In addition to the monitor screen, the wheelchair is also equipped with a cap containing a charge electrode for detecting brain activity users. Shortly after the hat fit to the user and the brain begins to think, the wheelchair will move and move in accordance with the direction and desired goals. According to Dr. Javier, the user only takes 45 minutes to learn how to use a wheelchair these findings.

Effect of The Use of X-Ray

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Broken bones, severe injuries on the head, coronary artery blockage is a condition that can be made to be viewed through the X-ray and there is no doubt at all because the appearance is very useful when used properly.

On the other hand taking pictures with the X-ray can cause cancer. Therefore the patient was advised to ask for the critical things about the X-ray prior to treatment using X-ray

X-ray radiation produces ions which also occurs naturally. Effective dose received by humans that can be measured by the size millisiverts, the unit of measure of radiation.

The average number of normal X-ray exposure is 2.1 millisievert per year, said by the Institute of Radiation Protection in Salzgitter, Germany.
If an X-ray exposure patient of 0.03 to 0.1 milliesievert, then it does not mean that the patient received X-ray light levels
Any exposure to X-ray radiation and means there is no restriction where the damage can be avoided.

How To Know Ultrasonography?

Monday, April 12th, 2010

USG is an abbreviation of the ultrasound. That is a device that uses high frequency sound waves emitted by a tracker (called a transducer) on an organ being examined.
Technological progress makes the scan time is much better. If the first image produced rough. But with new technology called 3 Dimensional Ultrasound, view pictures more clearly and be colored. In addition, this tool allows us to get a clearer picture about various matters relating to the condition of the fetus at any stage of development. Because this tool allows to view the fetal organs from various angles. Unfortunately this tool is not expensive considering all the hospitals can have it. For information, ultrasound works by using ultrasonic waves as the principle works. Ultrasound has a frequency of sound waves above 20 kHz (20. 000 waves per second). As a comparison, the sound waves can we hear everyday is 20-20000 Hz. For diagnostic purposes requires sound source with a frequency of 1-20 MHz. “Yet that is used in general is 3.5 MHz, 5 MHz, and 7.5 MHz.” The use of 3.5 MHz or more to ultrasound perabdominal and 5 MHz or more for a vaginal ultrasound.
